Visual Artist

My past work experience in the laboratory and on the farm inform my art making today. I have highlighted the vital role that microscopic phytoplankton play in the oceans and in the carbon cycle, visually exploring the link between climate change and ocean acidification. I try to bring this overlooked issue and bring it into the public domain in order to create awareness and discussion. In a similar way I work with cables, finding connectivity in communication between media and art, attempting to find the human connections or that which has been severed to our environment.
Time spent on the outskirts of Kruger are focussing my attention on the human nature conflict. I am busy working towards a body of work highlighting this conflict.
